Mansion Of Yu Residential

Mansion Of Yu Residential

Mansion of Yu Residential is an exemplary modern residential interior design project completed in November 2020 in Taipei City, Taiwan, showcasing a sophisticated fusion of contemporary aesthetics and functional spatial planning. The project, designed by Pei-Chen Hsieh, demonstrates a masterful interpretation of Mondrian's mismatched techniques and geometric lines, creating a harmonious living environment that balances elegance with comfort. The design's distinctive features include dark-colored floor slabs that establish visual continuity throughout public spaces, complemented by pure white decorations and carefully selected furniture pieces that contribute to an refined aesthetic atmosphere. The interior architecture skillfully addresses the challenge of working with circular structural columns, particularly evident in innovative solutions such as the use of Italian Mutina tiles in the daughter's bathroom, where orange and white color schemes create a vibrant, personalized space. The project's public domains are characterized by an open-plan design that promotes transparency and flow, while private areas feature smoked white oaks and walnut materials in darker tones to create intimate, modest spaces. The design earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its excellence in spatial innovation and material selection. Notable design elements include designer illuminations and carefully curated decorative elements that enhance the overall sophisticated ambiance, while thoughtful integration of the client's personal elements, such as a Japanese Black Pine visible through the windows, creates a meaningful connection between interior and exterior spaces.
