Mansion Of Dawn Residential

Mansion Of Dawn Residential

Mansion of Dawn Residential is an exemplary interior design project completed in 2020 in Taipei City, Taiwan, that masterfully demonstrates contemporary residential spatial planning and sophisticated material integration. This duplex apartment's design philosophy centers on the harmonious balance between public and private domains, with the lower floor dedicated to communal spaces and the upper level housing private quarters. The project's most distinctive feature is its expansive 20-square-meter balcony, which accommodates up to 20 people and incorporates retractable curtains for privacy and weather protection. The interior showcases meticulous attention to material selection, featuring fair-faced concrete boards embedded with hand-made titanium-plated metals arranged in staggered linear patterns, creating an elegant atmosphere throughout. The design employs earth-tone colors and varied textures to establish a multi-layered spatial experience, enhanced by strategic placement of metal ceiling lamps and substantial wooden elements. A particularly innovative aspect is the open-style staircase design, which cleverly integrates a children's cello practice area underneath, incorporating linear lighting elements that serve both practical and aesthetic purposes. The project, which won a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2021, exemplifies exceptional space optimization through its open-plan living areas, fluid circulation patterns, and thoughtful storage solutions. The designer's approach to natural light integration, particularly through French windows, creates an interplay between interior and exterior spaces, while the consistent use of materials and textures throughout maintains visual coherence and sophisticated ambiance.
