Mango Demonstration Office is an innovative interior design project completed in 2021, showcasing a contemporary workspace concept that cleverly integrates the thematic elements of a proposed advertising company. Located in Xian, China, this demonstration office spans approximately 57 square meters with dimensions of 6 meters in width, 9.5 meters in depth, and 5 meters in height, featuring a sophisticated dual-level layout. The design, conceptualized by Martin Chow and his team, draws inspiration from the mango fruit, incorporating its distinctive yellow hue (Pantone 13-0647) alongside complementary grey tones (Pantone 17-5104), which were notably the defining colors of 2021. The space demonstrates exceptional spatial optimization through its creative use of curved lines and organic forms that break traditional rectangular office configurations, establishing a dynamic flow from the entrance through to the upper mezzanine level. The design's material palette combines carpet, tiles, wallpapers, metals, and glass to create a cohesive and contemporary aesthetic. A signature design element includes an accent mango colored belt that seamlessly connects the stair to the mezzanine floor, exemplifying the project's innovative approach to spatial continuity. The traffic flow has been meticulously planned, beginning with a welcoming entrance that leads to a bar pantry area for casual interactions, flowing through the main office space, and culminating in an elevated director's area and meeting room. This project, which garnered a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates excellence in addressing the challenges of limited space, budget, and construction time while creating a vibrant, youth-oriented professional environment that effectively serves its purpose as a demonstration unit for potential clients.
