Manas Design Space Office

Manas Design Space Office

Manas Design Space Office is an innovative interior design project completed in 2020, representing a thoughtful reimagining of contemporary workspace design principles. This 600-square-meter office space, expanded from its original 460 square meters, exemplifies a holistic approach to modern workplace design, incorporating elements of biophilic design, ergonomic considerations, and multi-functional spaces. The design, conceived by Chinese designer Ziye Zhao, abandons traditional closed office layouts in favor of an open, inclusive environment that promotes collaboration and well-being. The space features distinctive architectural elements, including a partially constructed second floor that enhances spatial hierarchy and a sunken area creating a unique furnace-like sharing experience. Notable design elements include carefully considered air flow patterns, integration of natural plants, optimized natural lighting, and environmentally conscious material selections. The office encompasses various functional zones including a learning shared space, book bar, fitness area, yoga room, and dining facilities, all designed to support a balanced work-life integration. The project, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional attention to user experience through its thoughtful circulation patterns, with separate pathways for work, visitors, and meetings. The engineering and operation departments are strategically positioned around the central design department, facilitating seamless organizational interaction and collaborative workflows. The space's transformation, completed between October 2019 and February 2020, successfully addresses contemporary workplace challenges while creating an environment that nurtures creativity, wellness, and professional growth.
