Malibu Apartment Remodeling
Malibu Apartment Remodeling is an exemplary architectural renovation project completed in 2009, encompassing an 800-square-meter duplex apartment in São Paulo, Brazil, that masterfully integrates innovative design solutions with cutting-edge technology. This sophisticated residential transformation, designed by acclaimed architect Fernanda Marques, showcases a harmonious blend of contemporary aesthetics and technological advancement. The project's distinctive features include a revolutionary glass-box swimming pool supported by complex structural engineering, an organic-shaped external staircase connecting the terrace to the master suite, and a transparent glass elevator shaft that maintains visual continuity throughout the space. The lower floor emphasizes spatial integration, featuring a gourmet kitchen that seamlessly connects to the dining area, while the upper level houses the master suite, additional bedrooms, and a state-of-the-art fitness facility. The interior design demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, incorporating premium materials such as leather, velvet, metal, and glass, complemented by carefully curated furniture pieces from renowned designers, including works acquired from New York auctions. The project's technological sophistication extends to its automated lighting system that adjusts according to natural daylight conditions, while the terrace features an innovative retractable glass cover that maximizes natural illumination. This Iron A' Design Award-winning project in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category represents a pinnacle of contemporary residential design, successfully combining architectural innovation, technological integration, and sophisticated interior styling to create a living space that exemplifies modern luxury and functionality.
