Magnetic Mirror

A magnetic mirror is a type of magnetic confinement device used in plasma physics to confine plasma with magnetic fields. It works by using a combination of parallel and antiparallel magnetic fields to form a closed loop, creating a mirror effect that reflects the particles back into the center of the device. This allows for the plasma to be confined for a longer period of time. The magnetic fields used in the mirror can be generated by a variety of methods, including coils, permanent magnets, or a combination of both.
