Madam Platinum Residence
Madam Platinum Residence is an exemplary senior residential interior design project that masterfully addresses the evolving needs of aging populations while maintaining sophisticated aesthetics and functionality. Located in Hsinchu City, Taiwan, this 93-square-meter living space, completed in December 2018, represents a paradigm shift in senior home design by seamlessly integrating safety features within a contemporary aesthetic framework. The residence encompasses a thoughtfully planned layout featuring a living room, dining area, kitchen, study, and three bedrooms with two bathrooms, all designed with meticulous attention to both practical requirements and visual refinement. Distinguished by its innovative approach to senior living, the design incorporates environmentally friendly materials including masonry, tiles, nano stone, wall fabric, and metal work, while utilizing sophisticated wall-like partitioning techniques and extended bench seating that serve dual purposes of functionality and storage. The interior's elegant posture and serene ambiance reflect not only the inhabitants' personal characteristics but also their aspirations for the future, challenging conventional stereotypes of senior living spaces. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design, demonstrates exceptional consideration for safety requirements while maintaining visual sophistication through carefully concealed preventive facilities. Notable design elements include the transformation of structural columns into aesthetic features through the integration of lighting strips, chamfer details, and decorative elements, creating a harmonious environment that has become a cherished gathering space for multiple generations of the family.
