M.T.F. ( My True Friend) Table Lamp
M.T.F. ( My True Friend) Table Lamp is an innovative lighting fixture that seamlessly merges functional design with emotional resonance, drawing inspiration from the Victorian era and the iconic imagery of faithful canine companions. This versatile table lamp, designed by Taras Zheltishev, exemplifies a sophisticated fusion of materials including wood, plastic, metal, and glass, creating a harmonious blend of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary functionality. The lamp's distinctive design features a three-part construction: an upper metal bowl with plastic insert, a middle section comprising a hollow metal tube serving as an adjustable lampshade arm, and a lower stand crafted from metal with wooden inserts. Standing at 550 millimeters in height with a base radius of 100 millimeters, this 12-watt illumination piece offers exceptional versatility through its 360-degree pivot arm and unrestricted tilt capabilities, enhanced by ergonomic locks for secure positioning. The design's adaptability is further demonstrated by its ability to complement diverse interior settings, from cheerful children's rooms to formal office environments. Recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category, this lamp embodies a thoughtful response to modern living, offering a calming presence while maintaining practical functionality. The design philosophy behind the M.T.F. Table Lamp bridges the durability of traditional craftsmanship with contemporary technological advantages, creating an object that serves both as a functional light source and a symbolic representation of warmth and companionship in modern spaces.
