M Residential Residential House
M Residential Residential House is an innovative residential interior design project located in Ji-Lin Road, Taipei, Taiwan, that masterfully integrates contemporary living spaces with natural elements and artistic sophistication. The design's centerpiece is a striking central islet that serves as both a functional and symbolic focal point, representing the space's beginning and waiting area. This thoughtfully executed residential project, completed in 2015, spans 300 square feet and exemplifies a harmonious blend of interior and exterior spaces through its innovative use of large-scale windows that create a seamless connection with the outdoor environment. The design, conceived by Tsun-Shao Yang and team, emphasizes transparency and boundary-less living while maintaining a delicate balance between openness and privacy. Distinguished by its sophisticated material palette, including gold foil coating, titanium-coated steel, and natural stone, the residence showcases a meticulous attention to detail in its craftsmanship. The interior's dynamic relationship with natural light creates an ever-changing atmosphere throughout the day, while carefully curated indoor plants enhance the biophilic design approach. The project's excellence in spatial planning and material innovation was recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2017, acknowledging its outstanding contribution to residential interior design. The design successfully incorporates the owner's fine art collection and emphasizes practical color utilization to create distinct atmospheres in different zones, demonstrating a sophisticated understanding of both aesthetic and functional requirements in contemporary residential design.
