Lukas Jasansky
Lukas Jasansky was a Czech artist who was born in Prague in 1906 and is best known for his intricate abstract paintings. He was a member of the Czech Modern Art Group and held several solo exhibitions in the city. Jasansky's works often explored the relationship between philosophy and art, and he was particularly interested in the concept of the sublime. He believed that art should inspire awe and wonder in the viewer, and his paintings often featured swirling patterns and bold colors that evoked a sense of transcendence. Jasansky's work was influenced by a range of artistic movements, including Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism, and Op Art. He was particularly interested in the work of Wassily Kandinsky and Kazimir Malevich, and his paintings often featured geometric shapes and bold, contrasting colors. Jasansky's work was also influenced by his interest in Eastern philosophy and spirituality, and he often incorporated symbols and motifs from these traditions into his paintings. Despite his success as an artist, Jasansky remained humble and dedicated to his craft throughout his life. He continued to paint and exhibit his work until his death in 1980, leaving behind a legacy of innovative and thought-provoking art that continues to inspire and captivate viewers to this day.
