Love Infirmary Health Center

Love Infirmary Health Center is an innovative healthcare facility renovation project completed in 2022, specifically designed to transform an elementary school infirmary in Taipei city. This thoughtfully conceived interior space, designed by Daisuke Nagatomo and Minnie Jan, represents a significant advancement in educational healthcare facility design, incorporating biophilic principles and contemporary spatial solutions. The design concept draws inspiration from harmonious water ripples, utilizing circular patterns to delineate different functional areas including the nurse's office, patient beds, breastfeeding rooms, and reception counter. The 110-square-meter facility, measuring 14 meters in width, 9.5 meters in depth, and 3.3 meters in height, addresses previous challenges of insufficient circulation, inadequate natural lighting, and limited storage space through innovative architectural solutions. The interior features smooth curved surfaces, natural textures, and materials treated with anti-alcohol finish for maintenance efficiency. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional attention to functionality and aesthetic appeal, incorporating clear pathways for injured students and efficient circulation patterns for annual physical examinations. The design's emphasis on natural light integration, coupled with its sophisticated storage solutions and biophilic elements, creates a healing environment that significantly enhances the educational institution's healthcare delivery capabilities.
