Lotus Spring Exhibition Hall
Lotus Spring Exhibition Hall is a sophisticated cultural exhibition space that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of traditional Chinese architectural elements with contemporary design sensibilities. Located in Meizhou City, Guangdong Province, this 1,450-square-meter facility, designed by Jianjing Cai, masterfully integrates Hakka cultural heritage with modern decorative techniques to create an immersive cultural experience. The two-story structure, completed in 2017, features a thoughtfully curated exhibition space on the first floor and office facilities on the second floor, with dimensions of 28.32 meters in length and 25.59 meters in width. The design philosophy embraces the New Chinese Style, incorporating elements from Tang Dynasty architecture while maintaining a delicate balance between majesty and refinement. The interior design scheme utilizes a restrained palette of black, white, gray, and natural wood tones, punctuated by strategic touches of Chinese red for visual emphasis. Notable architectural features include high-precision silk-screened wall coverings, a custom-designed lotus spring chandelier that metaphorically represents corporate identity, and a central bridge installation that demonstrates the interplay between dynamic and static elements. The space employs traditional materials such as green brick, culture stone, and wood, creating an atmosphere that honors Chinese liquor culture while appealing to modern aesthetic sensibilities. The project, which garnered a Gold A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, successfully overcomes the challenge of bridging traditional and contemporary design languages while maintaining cost-effectiveness and rapid execution within a three-month timeframe.
