Longquan Forest Restaurant Restaurant
Longquan Forest Restaurant Restaurant is an innovative architectural and interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of natural elements with contemporary dining spaces. Located at the foot of Longquan Mountain in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, this remarkable establishment represents a thoughtful transformation of a lakeside area into an sophisticated dining venue that preserves and celebrates its natural surroundings. The restaurant's design philosophy centers on creating an intimate connection between diners and nature, featuring individual compartments designed in the abstract form of lotus flowers extending over the lake, each offering 270-degree panoramic views through arched glass windows. The 800-square-meter space incorporates existing trees within its structure, uniquely preserving them by encasing them in glass columns that serve both structural and aesthetic purposes. The innovative design approach maintains the integrity of the natural environment while creating distinct private dining spaces, each functioning as an independent unit without shared partitions. The interior design demonstrates exceptional consideration for environmental integration, featuring concave and convex rock walls adorned with vegetation, authentic trees, and artistic wooden elements, complemented by creative lighting configurations and decorative birdhouses. This Silver A' Design Award-winning project, completed in 2015, represents a significant advancement in restaurant design, offering a sophisticated solution to urban dining that addresses contemporary desires for nature-connected experiences while maintaining privacy and comfort. The design's nocturnal appearance is particularly noteworthy, as the interior illumination filters through small apertures, creating an enchanting effect that highlights the surrounding forest landscape.
