Logit Analysis
Logit Analysis is a type of statistical methods used in marketing to analyze the probability of particular outcomes of an event, based on multiple independent variables. The analysis is used to evaluate the relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable. It works by minimizing the difference between the observed frequencies and the predicted frequencies determined by the independent variables. Logit Analysis has been used in marketing to study customer loyalty, brand loyalty, product choice, and channel choices. Significant works in this space include “Analysis of Qualitative Choice Behavior” by James M. McFadden and “Logit Modeling: Practical Applications” by David C. Howell & Jeffrey E. Camm.
