Lion Head Goose Lion Head Goose Packaging is an innovative food packaging design that masterfully combines traditional Chaoshan culinary culture with contemporary humor through cartoon illustrations. Created by Chinese designer Tengchuan Chen in 2017, this packaging solution represents a sophisticated approach to presenting traditional cuisine in a modern context. The design's distinctive feature lies in its interactive visual narrative, where the packaging creates an amusing scenario of a goose attempting to escape as the package is opened, ultimately failing in its endeavor to avoid becoming a delicious dish. This creative concept is executed through a multi-component packaging system comprising a vacuum bag (220mm x 180mm) constructed from environmentally conscious materials including white cardboard, PE transparent layer, and high-quality PA with an antibacterial PE layer, complemented by a business card (90mm x 54mm) and an outer box (300mm x 160mm x 130mm). The design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, specifically targets consumers aged 25-35 who have grown up with cartoon culture, effectively bridging traditional gastronomy with contemporary visual communication.
