Linkou Z House Residential Space

Linkou Z House Residential Space

Linkou Z House Residential Space is an innovative residential interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of spatial planning and natural elements within a 100-square-meter living environment. The design's distinctive approach revolves around a sophisticated dual-axis concept, where the x-axis orchestrates the interaction between inhabitants and space through focal elements such as a marble-patterned television wall and kitchen island, while the y-axis establishes a profound connection with nature through strategic lighting placement and verdant elements. Originally configured as a four-room dwelling with limited natural illumination, the space underwent a transformative redesign that challenged conventional structural constraints by detaching the television wall from the building's framework, thereby introducing abundant natural light and creating a more fluid spatial experience. The project, completed in 2017 in Taiwan's Linkou district, demonstrates exceptional attention to materiality and spatial composition, featuring imported rock-pattern system boards, dark-smeared wooden grilles, and thoughtfully arranged buffer zones that maximize storage functionality. The design particularly caters to the owner's lifestyle, a former fashion magazine editor, by incorporating dedicated areas for reading and contemplation while maintaining visual connections to the surrounding park views. This sophisticated residential project, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, showcases an exemplary balance between functional necessity and aesthetic refinement, effectively redefining the possibilities within contemporary urban living spaces.
