Light Shower - Frame View Residence
Light Shower - Frame View Residence is an innovative architectural renovation project that exemplifies thoughtful interior design solutions for multi-generational living spaces. Located near the Linko International Golf & Country Club in Taiwan, this 214.5-square-meter residence underwent a comprehensive transformation to address the evolving needs of three generations of inhabitants. The project, completed in July 2016 by designers Yu-Lun Chang, Chun-Han Chen, and Yi-Chien Wen, masterfully resolves critical challenges in mobility, illumination, and spatial optimization. The design's cornerstone features include the strategic integration of an elevator system to enhance accessibility for elderly residents, alongside a complete reorganization of circulation patterns through the implementation of a central hallway. This architectural intervention is distinguished by its sophisticated approach to natural lighting, incorporating strategically placed windows throughout the space to maximize daylight penetration and ventilation. The renovation harmoniously balances cost-effective materials with premium finishes, reflecting a restrained aesthetic that honors the owners' preferences while meeting contemporary design standards. A particularly noteworthy element is the incorporation of open-plan kitchen and dining areas across the three main residential floors, fostering family connectivity and social interaction. The project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2017, demonstrates exceptional prowess in addressing complex spatial and functional requirements while maintaining aesthetic excellence.
