Laser Sintering
Laser Sintering is a 3D printing method that uses a laser to heat and fuse powdered material layer by layer to create solid objects. In design, this process allows for the creation of parts with moving joints or complex patterns in a single build, which means designers can make things like hinges or mesh structures without needing to assemble them later. The powder that does not get fused during printing supports the object as it forms, so there is no need to plan for extra support structures. This method can use different types of powders, such as plastics or metals, and is often chosen for making strong, detailed prototypes or finished products with intricate shapes.
