Korobok Pillbox is an innovative pharmaceutical storage solution designed to revolutionize the daily ritual of medication and supplement consumption, conceived and developed by designer Igor Dydykin. This thoughtfully crafted accessory represents a significant departure from traditional medical storage devices, transforming the conventional pillbox into a sophisticated lifestyle accessory that seamlessly integrates into modern daily routines. The design features a distinctive form factor with dimensions of 58mm depth, 43mm width, and 14mm height, incorporating a unique round shape with a rear hole, flat front surface, and an intuitive top notch for tactile recognition. This ergonomic configuration enables users to operate the device without visual confirmation, making it particularly accessible for various usage scenarios. The design philosophy behind the Korobok Pillbox emphasizes the destigmatization of medication storage by reimagining it as a contemporary travel and lifestyle accessory rather than a purely medical device. The opening mechanism draws inspiration from the time-tested matchbox design, offering reliable and straightforward access to contents while maintaining a compact profile suitable for purses and pockets. Developed through a combination of traditional sketching and advanced 3D modeling techniques, the pillbox demonstrates exceptional attention to user experience and practical functionality. The project, which was completed in Togliatti between March and June 2021, earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Fashion and Travel Accessories Design category, acknowledging its innovative approach to combining practical utility with aesthetic appeal. The design successfully addresses the challenge of creating a user-friendly storage solution for capsules, vitamins, and dietary supplements while maintaining a sophisticated appearance that aligns with contemporary lifestyle preferences.
