Knauf Arena Exposition Space is an innovative temporary exhibition environment encompassing 10,000 square meters, distinguished by its revolutionary approach to spatial design and rapid assembly capabilities. Conceived by architects Kerem and Begüm Yazgan, this groundbreaking exposition space was engineered to be constructed within 5-6 days and dismantled in just one day, showcasing exceptional efficiency in temporary architecture. The design's cornerstone feature is its pioneering 360-degree unobstructed viewing concept, which organizes the space through a hierarchical arrangement centered around a multi-functional event plaza. This central hub is encircled by arena-style stepped seating platforms, beyond which seven color-coded display stages featuring distinctive floating cone-like structures create a dynamic visual experience. These suspended structures, inspired by hat and dome shapes, incorporate an advanced lighting system comprising three layers of stretched PVC membrane and RGB LED lights, transforming them into illuminated sculptural elements that serve both aesthetic and functional purposes. The exposition space's sophisticated layout includes a 255-meter-long product wall that elegantly separates the main stage from 24 performance and demonstration rooms, while a carefully curated product field creates cohesive transitions between different zones. The innovative design earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its exceptional contribution to temporary exhibition architecture and its successful integration of technology, aesthetics, and functionality.
