Klikko Life Electronic Blocks is an innovative educational toy system designed to introduce young children to electronic concepts and circuit principles through interactive play and hands-on learning. Developed by designers Miao Ke, Cai Huixian, and He Yimin, this sophisticated learning tool combines functional electronic modules with building blocks to create an engaging STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) educational experience. The system consists of base modules, functional modules, conductive wires, and compatible building blocks, all manufactured using high-quality food-grade ABS materials. The electronic components include speakers, fans, lights, and acoustic resistors, which can be connected through magnetic conductors to create working circuits. Each module measures approximately 45 millimeters in width and depth, with a height of 26 millimeters, while the building blocks measure 63 millimeters in width and depth with a 3-millimeter height. The design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Toys, Games and Hobby Products Design category, effectively bridges the gap between traditional teaching aids and recreational toys, addressing the need for early electronic education before formal schooling. Its unique integration of circuit components with construction elements enables children to create practical applications such as sound-controlled lamps and customizable fans, fostering creativity while building fundamental understanding of electronic principles. The system's development, which spanned from October 2015 to July 2017, involved extensive research into children's learning behaviors and play patterns through community studies in Beijing and Shanghai, resulting in a product that effectively balances educational value, user engagement, and practical functionality.
