Khepri Lighting Unit
Khepri Lighting Unit is an innovative lighting design that seamlessly merges ancient Egyptian mythology with contemporary functionality, manifesting as both a floor lamp and pendant light fixture. Drawing profound inspiration from the Egyptian scarab god Khepri, associated with the rising sun and rebirth, this sophisticated lighting solution embodies the symbolic transition from darkness to light through its thoughtful design and advanced technological features. The unit's form has been meticulously evolved from the sacred scarab beetle's silhouette, refined into a modern aesthetic while maintaining its cultural significance. Featuring a dimmable LED system with 2700K temperature output producing warm illumination at 1521 lumens, the fixture incorporates an intuitive touch sensor switch offering three distinct brightness settings. The floor lamp variant stands at 1500mm height with a 500mm base diameter, while the pendant version measures 700mm in height with a 300mm base diameter, both featuring a 200mm diameter lighting fixture. Constructed from premium metal and glass materials, the design achieves an exceptional balance between functionality and artistic expression. The lighting unit's energy-efficient 14W LED bulb, equivalent to a traditional 100W bulb, demonstrates outstanding sustainability credentials by requiring 80-90% less energy while maintaining a high Color Rendering Index of 85 and an impressive 15,000-hour lifespan. This remarkable design, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category, represents a significant achievement in contemporary lighting design, successfully bridging ancient symbolism with modern technological innovation while addressing practical illumination needs in contemporary spaces.
