Keep Moving Coffee is an innovative interior design project that exemplifies the fusion of contemporary spatial design with the sensory experience of coffee culture. The establishment, completed in November 2016, features a distinctive architectural approach where deep and light coffee-colored surfaces interweave throughout the space like flowing ribbons, creating a dynamic visual narrative that extends from the walls to the ceiling. This 180-square-meter space employs sophisticated design elements including color emulsion paint, self-leveling surfaces, and toughened glass to achieve its fluid aesthetic. The design philosophy draws direct inspiration from coffee's silky texture, translating this characteristic into architectural form through seamless, streamline modelling that eschews superfluous ornamentation in favor of minimalist elegance. The interior's unique wall modeling increases spatial depth and stereoscopic feeling, while the arc structures provide a softness that harmoniously reflects coffee's inherent qualities. The workspace and overhead canopy maintain visual continuity while introducing subtle variations that enhance the romantic and refined atmosphere. The design, created by Sheng Tao and recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional mastery of light and shadow manipulation to create varying spatial atmospheres, elevating the overall quality of the environment. This achievement in retail space design showcases how thoughtful interior architecture can transform a commercial space into an immersive coffee-centered experience.
