KaiMon Taiwan Tea House Spring Tea Gift Box

KaiMon Taiwan Tea House Spring Tea Gift Box

KaiMon Taiwan Tea House Spring Tea Gift Box is an innovative packaging design that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of traditional Chinese tea culture with contemporary design aesthetics. Created by designer SU WAN LING in 2016, this sophisticated gift box draws inspiration from Taiwan's rich tea heritage and natural landscapes, incorporating symbolic elements that represent the essence of spring and mountain tea cultivation. The design, measuring 90mm in width, 300mm in depth, and 60mm in height, features a thoughtfully conceived modular system comprising three distinct drawer boxes, each representing natural elements essential to tea cultivation: spring wind, dew, and sunlight. The exterior design employs Chinese ink wash rendering techniques to portray mountainous landscapes through clean geometric shapes, while soft, vibrant spring colors create a welcoming aesthetic that aligns with the meaning of KaiMon (Open Door) in Chinese. The packaging's innovative construction utilizes rounded paper design elements that minimize printing processes, demonstrating a commitment to environmental sustainability while maintaining functional elegance. The versatile interior compartments accommodate various tea varieties and tea cakes, allowing for flexible arrangement according to user preferences. This design, which earned the Silver A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category, successfully combines practical functionality with artistic expression, representing a contemporary interpretation of traditional tea culture through its sophisticated use of materials, colors, and symbolic elements.
