John Hillers
John Hillers (1843-1925) was an American artist who had a lasting impact on American painting. His works are known for their vibrant colors and bold lines, which often depicted the grandeur of the American landscape. In particular, Upper Yosemite Valley (1875) and Masonry Work at the New York Custom House (1859) are seen as major achievements of his career. Through his paintings, Hillers aimed to capture the beauty of the American experience and its unique wilderness.
