Spanning 15,000 square meters, this transformative development represents a significant evolution in contemporary commercial space design, earning recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category. The project's conceptual foundation draws inspiration from the philosophy of book nestle, creating an immersive environment where literature and commerce coexist harmoniously. The design employs a distinctive V-shaped pattern throughout, symbolizing an opened book, which seamlessly integrates the building's facade with its interior spaces. The architectural program is thoughtfully divided across four levels, including a 24-hour bookstore, lifestyle areas, dedicated spaces for children and youth, and a specialized section for ancient books. Notable design elements include lantern-like cocoons suspended from the ceiling and innovative stairways that double as communal reading spaces, encouraging visitors to linger and engage with literature. The space features a carefully curated material palette combining warm timber finishes with raw concrete, creating an atmosphere that balances contemporary design with cultural sophistication. The project successfully overcame significant structural challenges in renovating an existing building, maximizing functionality while maintaining architectural integrity.
