Jinheng Optometry Clinic

Jinheng Optometry Clinic

Jinheng Optometry Clinic is an innovative medical facility design project completed in 2021, representing a groundbreaking fusion of professional healthcare services and contemporary retail aesthetics. Located in Shanxi, China, this 1,042-square-meter establishment exemplifies the harmonious integration of traditional cultural elements with modern medical technology. The design concept revolves around the symbolic representation of the eye, masterfully incorporating more than 10,000 stainless steel butterflies in a distinctive window display that serves both aesthetic and metaphorical purposes. The interior architecture features sophisticated flowing curves evident in various elements, including the ceiling modeling, S-shaped counter, stair back cabinet, and strip pendant lighting. The facility's design addresses complex spatial challenges, particularly in the transformation of the building's staircase to meet fire safety requirements while maintaining aesthetic cohesion. Notable design elements include a dynamic image advertising light box programmed for varying motion tracks, frosted bronze gold finishes that enhance the premium atmosphere of the sales area, and consistent stone surface materials that create a seamless visual flow between floors. The project, which won a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, successfully combines local cultural references, such as Shanxi's traditional pasta culture, with contemporary medical facility requirements. The design prioritizes patient comfort and functionality while maintaining a sophisticated aesthetic appeal, achieved through rigorous technological implementation and high-quality material selection. The integration of lighting and materials creates rich spatial layering, while the overall design philosophy emphasizes the creation of a welcoming, professional healthcare environment that balances medical precision with commercial appeal.
