Jiangyin Thermoelectric Exhibition Hall

Jiangyin Thermoelectric Exhibition Hall is an innovative exhibition space and science museum located in China, transformed from a three-story industrial building into a modern showcase for green energy and environmental sustainability. This 2000-square-meter facility, recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, represents a significant achievement in adaptive reuse architecture and exhibition design. The exhibition hall's design concept revolves around the theme green energy creates the future, featuring a distinctive thermal forest created through customized LED column screens and mirror-ceiling installations that generate an immersive lighting art experience. The renovation project successfully addressed the challenges of the original structure's limitations by implementing a modern light steel framework and strategic wall removals to enhance spatial flow and visitor accessibility. The facility incorporates interactive multimedia exhibitions, including a Tesla coil holographic projection and an innovative energy demonstration where visitors can power a model of the Jiangyin Bridge through cycling-generated electricity. A particularly noteworthy design element is the Energy Planet installation, which utilizes steel wire fiber's conductivity to create a visual representation of energy transmission, illuminating a dome-shaped Earth feature. The exhibition hall seamlessly integrates historical elements, including a 30-year-old control unit from the building's industrial past, creating a meaningful connection between the region's industrial heritage and its sustainable future. The space serves dual purposes as both an enterprise exhibition hall and a green energy science museum, emphasizing environmental protection through its construction materials and interactive educational displays.
