Jian Lin Training Center is an innovative educational facility designed by Jiaxuan Chen, representing a paradigm shift in the architectural approach to children's art education spaces. The 700-square-meter facility challenges traditional training center layouts by breaking away from the conventional corridor plus classroom model, instead embracing a fluid, continuous spatial design that promotes creativity and interactive learning. The center's design philosophy revolves around three core principles: continuity, wandering, and transformation, manifested through soft, curvilinear architectural elements that guide movement throughout the space. A distinctive blue arc serves as a visual and functional spine, meandering through the reception area and connecting various zones while stimulating children's exploratory instincts. The center features a thoughtfully designed picture book area housed in a transparent glass room, incorporating playful yellow dot patterns reminiscent of children's bubbles, creating an inviting atmosphere for young learners. The design successfully transforms structural challenges, such as irregular column placement, into advantages that contribute to the space's dynamic flow. The interior's white base palette serves as a blank canvas for creativity, strategically accented with colors that echo children's artistic expression. This Bronze A' Design Award-winning project in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category demonstrates exceptional innovation in creating multifunctional learning environments that seamlessly integrate teaching spaces with areas for free play and creative expression, fostering an environment where children can explore, learn, and develop their artistic talents uninhibited.
