Located within a church's clock tower, this innovative architectural and exhibition design project masterfully overcomes spatial constraints through thoughtful design elements and creative solutions. The facility, spanning less than 6,000 square feet across two floors with four exhibition halls, employs a sophisticated white and oak color scheme that creates an atmosphere of tranquility and solemnity while visually expanding the space. The design incorporates several notable features, including a distinctive natural lighting system that projects cross-shaped patterns through the two-story staircase, creating both practical illumination and symbolic significance. The interior architecture seamlessly blends traditional Chinese building structures with contemporary design elements, featuring a wave-like ceiling structure that symbolizes a flowing river, representing the continuous spread of cultural heritage. The space utilizes innovative solutions such as rotatable display boards in staircase corners to maximize exhibition capacity and enhance visitor interaction. Environmental consciousness is demonstrated through the implementation of dual lighting modes for day and night, significantly reducing energy consumption while maintaining optimal viewing conditions. The project, completed in 2018 and recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Event and Happening Design category, represents a significant achievement in exhibition design, successfully balancing historical preservation with modern functionality.
