Jenga Windows It Is A Complex Of Commercial Space
Jenga Windows It is a complex of commercial space is an innovative architectural design project that revolutionizes retail facade design through its distinctive interpretation of the classic Jenga block game concept. The structure employs a sophisticated arrangement of modular building blocks and large French windows, creating an asymmetrical yet harmoniously balanced composition that extends both vertically and horizontally. This architectural masterpiece, designed by Kris Lin and Jiayu Yang, spans 1000 square meters and masterfully integrates aluminum plate, wood, marble, and concrete to achieve its striking aesthetic. The design's most notable feature is its creative use of cantilever windows, which not only serve as functional elements but also create a visual dialogue between the building's interior and exterior spaces. The facade's dynamic arrangement reflects the internal functions of different commercial spaces while maintaining a cohesive visual identity. Drawing inspiration from Friedrich Froebel's educational building blocks, the design transforms this pedagogical concept into a contemporary architectural language. The project, completed in Shanghai, demonstrates particular innovation in its treatment of commercial facades, where the modular elements are strategically positioned to create visual interest while maintaining practical functionality. The design earned recognition with a Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, acknowledging its exceptional contribution to commercial architecture and its innovative approach to spatial design.
