Jean Follett

Jean Follett was an influential American artist who was active during the latter half of the 20th century. He was a prominent member of the Abstract Expressionism movement, which was characterized by its use of bold, gestural brushstrokes and a focus on the act of painting itself. Follett's work was deeply rooted in this movement, and he created a body of work that was both visually striking and emotionally resonant. One of the hallmarks of Follett's work was his use of color. He was known for his bold, vibrant hues, which he used to create dynamic and expressive compositions. His paintings often featured sweeping, gestural brushstrokes that seemed to capture the energy and movement of the world around him. Follett's work was also deeply influenced by his interest in themes of luxury, power, and gender, which he explored through his use of imagery and symbolism. Despite his success as an artist, Follett was also known for his humility and his dedication to his craft. He was deeply committed to the act of painting, and he spent countless hours in his studio, experimenting with new techniques and exploring new ideas. His work has had a lasting impact on the art world, and his legacy continues to inspire new generations of artists to this day.
