Jack Kinney

Jack Kinney was an American animator and director who made significant contributions to the animation industry during the mid-20th century. He began his career in animation in the 1930s, working for Walt Disney Studios as an animator on several classic films, including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Pinocchio. In the 1940s, Kinney left Disney to work for other animation studios, including Warner Bros. and MGM. He directed several popular cartoons during this time, including the Tom and Jerry short, The Cat Concerto, which won an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in 1947. Kinney returned to Disney in the 1950s, where he directed several feature-length films, including Alice in Wonderland and Sleeping Beauty. Throughout his career, Kinney was known for his innovative animation techniques and his ability to bring characters to life on the screen. He was also a mentor to many young animators, and his influence can be seen in the work of many of today's top animators.
