It's Bird Floor Lamp
It's Bird Floor Lamp is an innovative lighting fixture that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of functional design and natural inspiration, created by designer Oksana Belova. This sophisticated floor lamp, which earned recognition with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Lighting Products and Fixtures Design category in 2020, embodies a minimalist aesthetic inspired by the subtle interplay of natural elements such as water flow, cloud movement, and avian life. The design philosophy centers on the concept of simplicity meeting functionality, incorporating sustainable practices through the thoughtful repurposing of materials. Standing at 1600mm in height with a base dimension of 500mm, the lamp features a distinctive composition that combines reclaimed metal and terrazzo stone elements, giving new life to previously used materials. The lamp's technical specifications include LED lighting technology with dimmer control functionality, allowing users to adjust illumination intensity according to their preferences. What sets this design apart is its philosophical approach to modern consumption patterns, emphasizing the importance of material reuse and conscious design. The aesthetic draws inspiration from early autumn scenery, capturing the transitional nature of the season in its form and function. The lamp's construction demonstrates innovative material application, where fragments of stone are reconstituted to form new terrazzo surfaces, while weathered metal components are repurposed to serve a new decorative and functional purpose. This approach not only reduces waste but also imbues each piece with a unique character and historical narrative. The design represents a response to contemporary needs for simplicity and functionality in home lighting solutions, while addressing broader themes of sustainability and mindful consumption in modern design practices.
