Italian Minimalist Villa

Italian Minimalist Villa

Italian Minimalist Villa is an exemplary architectural and interior design project that harmoniously blends Italian aesthetic sensibilities with minimalist design principles, created by designer Feng Yang. This sophisticated residential space, spanning approximately 1200 square meters across four floors, demonstrates a masterful integration of natural light, materiality, and spatial organization. The design philosophy draws inspiration from Japanese Wabi-sabi principles while maintaining distinctly Italian minimalist characteristics, featuring a thoughtful combination of wood and copper materials, grey matte marble flooring in public areas, and warm wooden surfaces in private spaces. The villa's innovative design includes a remarkable diamond-shaped glass window that creates dynamic light effects throughout the day, transforming direct sunlight into subtle illumination patterns that enhance the interior ambiance. The spatial arrangement effectively separates functional areas while maintaining visual coherence through semi-open patterns and carefully curated transitional spaces. Notable design elements include a sophisticated blue table with copper detailing, custom screens combining copper and freehand silk, and strategically placed ornamental greenery. The project, which earned recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, exemplifies excellence in contemporary residential architecture through its thoughtful integration of living and reading spaces, sustainable design practices, and sophisticated material palette. The villa's design particularly emphasizes the creation of distinct atmospheric qualities for different users, from the clean-lined first-floor public spaces to the imposing master bedroom and a delicately designed daughter's room, all while maintaining a cohesive architectural language that prioritizes comfort, functionality, and aesthetic refinement.
