Into The World Of Art Gallery
Into the World of Art Gallery is an innovative private art exhibition space designed by Joy Chou and Shin Chang, exemplifying a harmonious blend of natural elements and contemporary design aesthetics. This 400-square-meter gallery space, completed in 2015, revolutionizes traditional gallery design through its distinctive architectural features and environmental consciousness. The design's most notable characteristic is its arc-level wall system, which creates a scattered mesa formation specifically conceived to showcase various artistic mediums including pottery, wooden artifacts, stone sculptures, and metalwork. The gallery's sophisticated design incorporates shell travertine walls with natural veins, specially imported stone flooring, and an innovative floral ceiling design that enhances spatial flow. Environmental sustainability stands as a core principle of the design, demonstrated through the integration of natural elements such as fallen leaves, seeds, elk moss, and wood in spherical installation artworks. The space features an advanced lighting system with adjustable hidden-track projection lamps, while large glass fixtures in the reception area create an atmosphere of magnificence and elegance. The circulation pattern breaks from conventional gallery layouts by employing a rhythmic, streamlined approach that guides visitors through a natural aesthetic journey. This exceptional design earned the Platinum A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, recognizing its outstanding contribution to contemporary gallery design and its successful integration of sustainability with sophisticated aesthetics.
