Interac Collision Conference 2019 Interactive Tradeshow Exhibition is an innovative and immersive exhibition space design that transformed a 50 ft. x 50 ft. booth area into an engaging architectural installation through the creative use of suspended fabric elements. The design, which garnered a Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, masterfully utilized vertical space by suspending approximately 600 ochre-colored ribbons from 20 feet above the show floor, effectively expanding the 2,500 square feet floor space into 40,000 cubic feet of dynamic visual experience. The exhibition's distinctive feature lay in its meticulous arrangement of 576 individual hanging strips, precisely engineered to maintain perfect symmetry and unwrinkled presentation, creating an ethereal environment that symbolized seamless data flow and interconnectivity. The design incorporated varying ribbon lengths to define different functional zones, with shorter suspended elements demarcating entry ways, walking paths, and informal meeting areas. This sophisticated approach to space definition not only created a visually striking presence but also facilitated practical functionality for the high-volume traffic of over 20,000 conference attendees. The installation demonstrated exceptional technical precision in its execution, particularly in the research and development required to prevent fabric distortion and maintain geometric accuracy. The design successfully achieved its objective of creating a memorable brand experience while pushing the boundaries of traditional exhibition design, earning recognition for its innovative use of materials, spatial planning, and aesthetic impact.
