Intelligent Input App

Intelligent Input App

Intelligent Input App is an innovative interface design solution that addresses communication barriers faced by vulnerable populations through artificial intelligence-driven input methods. Developed by designers Tian Wu, Yuting Cai, Meng Xu, and Lili Zhai, this comprehensive digital solution integrates multiple AI technologies to facilitate efficient communication across various platforms including Android, iOS, MacOS, and Windows. The application employs sophisticated face recognition technology to identify user categories and automatically adjust to their specific needs, offering specialized modes for elderly users, individuals with expression disorders, and those requiring touchless input capabilities. Its intelligent framework incorporates voice assistance, gesture recognition for air-based handwriting, and customized interface adaptations that significantly enhance accessibility and user experience. The system's architecture is particularly noteworthy for its ability to provide consistent cross-platform experiences while addressing unique challenges faced by different user groups, including practical operation difficulties and psychological barriers. This groundbreaking interface design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interface, Interaction and User Experience Design category, represents a significant advancement in inclusive digital communication technology. The application's development, initiated in November 2019, demonstrates a thoughtful implementation of user-centered design principles, supported by extensive research into vulnerable population needs and communication patterns, ultimately contributing to the creation of a more inclusive and harmonious digital society.
