Ingrede Set Cutlery

Ingrede Set Cutlery

Ingrede Set Cutlery is an innovative tableware design that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of functionality and sculptural aesthetics in contemporary cutlery design. This sophisticated set, comprising a fork, spoon, and knife, represents a revolutionary approach to dining implements through its unique magnetic slot-together mechanism that enables vertical standing capability. Created by British designer Matthew Dorabiala, the set draws inspiration from natural harmony and mathematical principles, incorporating these elements into its fluid, unified form. Crafted from premium stainless steel through meticulous handcrafting techniques, the set features distinctive design elements including four peaks for effective manipulation of food items and enlarged curved surfaces optimized for various dining experiences, from fish to soft dishes. Standing at 170mm x 40mm when folded, the set's vertical orientation transforms traditional table presentation while addressing practical storage concerns. The design philosophy behind this cutlery set extends beyond mere utility, expressing a quest for perfection in everyday objects and considering the psychological aspects of dining, particularly for individuals with attention to detail. This innovative approach to cutlery design, which earned a Silver A' Design Award in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design category, challenges conventional tableware concepts by elevating utilitarian objects to sculptural art pieces that contribute to dining aesthetics while maintaining practical functionality.
