Industrial Poet Office is an innovative spatial planning project that exemplifies the harmonious fusion of industrial aesthetics with contemporary office design, created by designers Yu Yu Chu and Chu Yi-Hung. This 545-square-meter office space, designed for a video game company, represents a revolutionary approach to workplace architecture through its deliberate removal of traditional partitions and implementation of open-plan concepts. The design philosophy centers on creating a balanced environment that merges industrial style elements with leisure-oriented spaces, achieved through thoughtful material selection including black, white, and grey cabinetry complemented by warm wooden surfaces. The space features distinctive architectural elements such as exposed ceiling pipelines, track lighting systems, and strategically placed spherical fixtures that create dynamic visual experiences. The central corridor serves as a linear axis, organizing various functional zones including meeting rooms, reception areas, supervisor offices, and product development spaces. Notable design features include the innovative use of reinforced clear glass and iron pieces, which create a seamless blend between natural and industrial materials, while the entrance showcases an artfully inlaid corporate logo. The project, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional space optimization despite budget constraints, incorporating sophisticated lighting solutions and material combinations to transform a naturally light-deprived environment into a bright, comfortable workplace.
