Mahdavi's unique design philosophy is characterized by a bold use of color, curvaceous forms, and a playful blend of cultural influences, drawing from her diverse background and extensive travels. After studying architecture at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Mahdavi honed her skills working with notable designers such as Christian Liaigre and Philippe Starck before establishing her own studio, imh interiors, in 1999. Her distinctive style has been sought after by high-profile clients in the hospitality, residential, and commercial sectors, with projects spanning the globe from Paris to New York, London to Tokyo. Some of her most celebrated works include the whimsical interior of the Sketch restaurant in London, with its plush pink velvet seating and copper-clad bar, and the chic redesign of the iconic Ladurée tea room in Los Angeles.
