Imola Beijing Showroom

Imola Beijing Showroom is a sophisticated architectural and interior design project completed in 2017, encompassing 538 square meters of exhibition space that masterfully combines aesthetic excellence with functional retail design principles. The two-story structure represents a significant achievement in contemporary showroom design, utilizing a striking contrast of yellow, black, and white color schemes to create a powerful visual impact while embodying modern minimalist principles. The exterior features a distinctive dark facade punctuated by a dramatic yellow brick belt that serves as a luminous architectural element, symbolically cutting through the monolithic structure. The interior design demonstrates exceptional spatial planning, with a carefully considered circulation flow that enhances the sales process. The ground floor showcases a notable container window display that presents lifestyle aesthetics, while a bold white staircase, enhanced by integrated lighting elements, guides visitors to the upper-level negotiation area. The design philosophy incorporates elements of traditional Chinese artistic principles, particularly the concept of negative space or 'blank-leaving,' which contributes to creating an atmosphere of refined simplicity. The showroom's innovative use of ceramic materials as both functional and display elements earned it a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category in 2019, recognizing its excellence in spatial design, material application, and cultural integration. The project, designed by Chuanjin Sun, demonstrates a sophisticated understanding of retail psychology, combining commercial functionality with artistic expression to create an immersive brand experience.
