Designed by the Koho R and D Team, this distinguished piece of furniture features a distinctive back shape that seamlessly incorporates rhythmic elements inspired by piano keys and musical staffs, resulting in a smooth, curved profile that optimally adapts to the human body's natural contours. The chair's groundbreaking design employs a combination of nylon framework and TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) backrest, enabling dynamic deformation that responds to users' movements and postures during extended periods of office work. Measuring 700mm in width, 700mm in depth, and 1250mm in height, this ergonomic masterpiece abandons conventional mesh construction in favor of an innovative deformable soft back support system. The chair incorporates multiple user-centric features, including adjustable armrests, a tilt mechanism with locking capability, and a sliding seat cushion that accommodates individual preferences. Developed over two years from June 2020 to June 2022, the design process involved extensive research utilizing 3D simulation and thermal imaging to optimize support points and spinal alignment. The chair's exceptional design excellence was recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Office Furniture Design category in 2023, acknowledging its significant contribution to workplace comfort and innovative approach to office furniture design. The integration of multiple materials and multifunctional chassis mechanism demonstrates a sophisticated understanding of contemporary workplace needs, while its soft, swinging, edge-shaped back enables users to maintain comfort throughout various working positions.
