I Do Emergent Arts Retail Space is an innovative retail environment that exemplifies the intersection of artistic expression and commercial architecture, distinguished by its striking sculptural centerpiece and immersive spatial design. Located in Wuhan, China, this groundbreaking retail concept seamlessly integrates a monumental 9-meter steel sculpture that extends through two floors, creating a powerful visual narrative that symbolizes wisdom, strength, and unity. The space's design philosophy draws inspiration from the jewelry industry's processes, incorporating elements that reference extraction, manufacture, and distribution of precious stones. The interior features sophisticated geometric systems and attenuated walls that subtly highlight the broader ecosystem of global retail commerce. The project showcases revolutionary fabrication techniques, utilizing customized computational tools, wax 3D printing, and investment casting to create a bio-inspired structural lattice that reflects both cellular biology and diamond atomic structures. The space's distinctive features include CNC-milled and cast gypsum and GRC walls, faceted display furniture, and a façade spanning 14 by 15.4 meters.
