HYZ Foot Spa Club
HYZ Foot Spa Club is an innovative interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of natural elements within an urban commercial space, located in the core CBD of Taizhou Pharmaceutical City. This sophisticated wellness facility, completed in May 2021, encompasses 1100 square meters and was masterfully designed by Jian Wang, with assistance from Ming Li and Liang Mei. The design's distinctive approach transforms a challenging architectural constraint - exposed downpipes - into an aesthetic advantage by incorporating them into a conceptual concrete forest, enhanced by transparent soft film treatments. The space employs sophisticated visual principles of near-large and far-small arrangements, creating an immersive forest-like environment that extends vertically through the structure. The design's materiality is thoughtfully curated, featuring block stone, terrazzo, aluminum transfer printing, copper, wood finishes, and mirror stainless steel, which collectively create an atmosphere of infinite spatial possibility through strategic reflection and lighting. The facility's hot water bathing pool area draws inspiration from ladder formations, topped with luminous membrane structures that simulate natural skylight filtering through a forest canopy. This award-winning design, recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, successfully creates a natural refuge within a high-tech industrial district, offering a contemplative escape through its artful blend of contemporary design elements and biophilic principles. The project's sophisticated use of materials, lighting, and spatial arrangement demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in creating a serene urban oasis that caters to the relaxation needs of pharmaceutical industry professionals while maintaining a strong connection to natural elements.
