Hui Whisky Bar

Hui Whisky Bar

Hui Whisky Bar is an innovative architectural and interior design project that exemplifies the harmonious integration of indoor and outdoor spaces within a community-focused establishment. Located in Qinhuangdao, China, this sophisticated venue spans 120 square meters with dimensions of 12 meters by 10 meters and a height of 3.7 meters, distinguished by its thoughtful incorporation of five linear design elements utilizing diverse materials including brick, rock slabs, teak, metal, and mirror stainless steel. The design concept revolves around four fundamental principles: precipitation, tranquility, aftertaste, and illusion, which are manifested through the interplay of rough, smooth, reflective, and contrasting materials. The space features distinctive arched windows and doors that create a seamless transition between interior and exterior environments, enhanced by strategic lighting that emphasizes the spatial axis. The bar's design, which earned a Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, demonstrates exceptional spatial efficiency and community integration, functioning both as a private establishment and a public gathering space. The innovative use of mirror stainless steel creates captivating reflections and spatial distortions, while the carefully planned layout promotes social interaction between indoor patrons and outdoor visitors. Completed in February 2021, the project successfully overcomes the challenges of limited budget and space constraints while establishing itself as a vital community hub that facilitates cultural exchange and social connectivity.
