Huayue Palace Private House
Huayue Palace Private House is an exemplary residential architectural project completed in 2022 in Chengdu, China, that masterfully integrates innovative spatial design with humanitarian values and environmental consciousness. The 1000-square-meter residence, designed by Hui Xie, represents a sophisticated interpretation of contemporary living spaces, featuring a distinctive high-skip floor design between stories that optimizes natural ventilation and illumination. The project's most notable architectural element is its pair of transparent wings, symbolically replacing traditional chandeliers, which pays homage to the homeowner's dedication to animal welfare. The residence incorporates several thoughtfully designed spaces, including dedicated work, reading, and play areas that facilitate adult-child interaction, while the innovative roof garden houses specially designed spaces for rescued animals, providing them with optimal living conditions. The interior architecture employs advanced environmental control systems, including an electric skylight that utilizes the chimney effect and a sophisticated fresh air system that maintains consistent temperature and humidity levels. The design's 270-degree floor-to-ceiling windows create a seamless connection with the exterior environment, while the careful integration of furniture, artistic installations, and lighting creates a fluid spatial rhythm. This exceptional project, which earned the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category, exemplifies the harmonious blend of functional design, environmental consciousness, and social responsibility, setting new standards for residential architecture that prioritizes both human comfort and animal welfare.
