House of Flying Daggers Contacting and fighting with the melody is an innovative animated visual interpretation of the renowned Chinese Pipa music piece House of Flying Daggers, created by designers Lu Zhao and Sen Guo. This sophisticated multimedia work, which garnered recognition with an Iron A' Design Award in the Movie, Video and Animation Design category, masterfully translates traditional Chinese musical elements into contemporary visual language through the interplay of black and white geometric forms. The 2-minute and 10-second animation, rendered in high-definition 1920px by 1080px resolution, employs stop-motion techniques combined with advanced 3D MAX, After Effects, and illustration technologies to create a compelling visual narrative. The work draws its inspiration from the historical Chu-Han battle of 202 BC, visualizing the intense emotional and martial elements of the original composition through abstract geometric choreography. The designers have successfully merged ancient Chinese musical traditions with modern visual expression, utilizing spatial dynamics, rhythmic variations, and sophisticated camera work to convey the dramatic tension of the original piece.
