House Elvesgarden Privat Residence

House Elvesgarden Privat Residence

House Elvesgarden Privat Residence is an exemplary architectural masterpiece completed in 2019 in Munich, Germany, designed by acclaimed architect Stephan Maria Lang with collaborators Steffi Senula and Annamaria Papp-Ionescu. This sophisticated residential project, spanning 1600 square meters, represents a harmonious fusion of Japanese architectural principles and contemporary design sensibilities, created as a spiritual retreat for a young widow. The residence's design philosophy centers on the interplay between light and shadow, drawing inspiration from traditional Japanese interior spaces where subdued lighting creates an atmosphere of profound warmth and introspection. The structure features a thoughtfully designed entrance courtyard that serves as a transitional space between the external world and the private sanctuary within, marked by distinctive stone walls and a prominent house tree that creates dynamic shadow patterns. The ground floor encompasses an open-plan living area anchored by a central bronze fireplace, while the upper floor houses private quarters. The architectural composition employs a refined material palette of concrete, steel, wood, stone, and glass, demonstrating exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. The project's integration with its natural surroundings is particularly noteworthy, featuring a forest-like garden that serves as both a childhood dream realized and a fundamental design element. This remarkable achievement in residential architecture was recognized with a Silver A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category in 2021, acknowledging its innovative approach to creating a powerful yet serene living environment that seamlessly blends architectural excellence with emotional resonance.
