Hours On The Slope Working Place
Hours on the Slope Working Place is an innovative architectural complex comprising three distinct buildings, designed with meticulous attention to environmental integration and sustainable functionality. This Bronze A' Design Award-winning project, completed in 2018 in Taichung, Taiwan, encompasses a substantial area of 63,767 square meters and exemplifies advanced sustainable architecture through its thoughtful design elements and eco-conscious features. The complex's exterior showcases a harmonious blend of granite and green building coating systems, with the office building featuring natural stone mosaics on curved surfaces to symbolize corporate stability while maintaining environmental cohesion. The design demonstrates exceptional environmental consideration through its strategic orientation and facade treatment, particularly evident in the western elevation where dark windows are deliberately minimized to manage solar exposure. The facility incorporates numerous sustainable technologies, including a 12,250 square meter solar panel installation that serves dual purposes as both an energy generator and thermal insulator for the top-floor parking area. The building's environmental systems are particularly noteworthy, featuring an innovative buried pipeline wind-guiding system that utilizes natural ground cooling through a 10-meter deep soil system, significantly reducing air conditioning requirements. The project's commitment to sustainability extends to its water management system, incorporating a rainwater recycling pool for irrigation and an eco-pool within the 20-meter greenbelt setback, which helps regulate the site's microclimate. The exterior coating system employed on the main factory building adheres to green building standards, being free of formaldehyde and volatile organic compounds, while offering practical benefits such as self-cleaning capabilities during rainfall and minimal maintenance requirements.
